What can I say?

A few years of stupidity (not mine) and no way to respond - I've been left with feelings of anger and frustration toward supposed smart people. Just because they work in a professional capacity doesn't mean they are!

I'm not going to credit the organisations involved because i don't want to promote them. 

there's several elements of the "art" world that are quite offensive 

1. they don't like watercolour:  "oooh its the hardest medium". BS,
   that makes it not art?
2. they don't understand watercolour therefore it's not a painting?
3. they don't understand watercolour because it's not a landscape?

it all started with a drawing prize awarded to a typewritten page of forward slashes, it was also a copy of another artist's work.  ​
