Commission Your Own Painting

There are many reasons to commission your own artwork:

• you're looking for a special painting for your art collection
• perhaps you’ve moved to a new house
• renovated your living area
• you want a statement piece for your living room
• you want a memory of a special place or event
• a gift to someone special
• or you want a painting made just for you

I love working with clients to create extra special artworks just for you and your home – you can have the design you want, the colours you want, the size you want, all for the same price as one of my exhibition works from my studio!

How The Commission Process Works:

• You contact me with an idea or request for a painting
• We complete the ‘Commission Brief’ together to determine the size, shape, subject, colours, and other paintings you like
• You pay a 30% deposit
• I prepare some colour sketches that match the Brief for you to consider
• When you are happy I start work on the final painting
• I present you with the finished painting

What if I am not happy with the end result? 

If you are unhappy with the finished painting then you are not obligated to buy it.  Thanks to all the preliminary discussions and completing a clear Commission Brief - this has never happened.

Commissioning a painting is exciting for both of us and it is fantastic for me to get to know who my painting is going to live with. I do commissioned paintings regularly and would love to design something for your special needs or create an artwork based on your specific ideas.
